Position Title: Director of Dining Services

Start Date: ASAP       Work hours: Flexibility in work hours, some weekends and holidays required, ability to work opening and closing shifts as required.



Description of Duties: This position is responsible for the overall successful management of the Dining Services Department at The Atrium. Responsibilities include oversight and management of all independent living dining programming, health care dining provision, and catering.

Responsible for ensuring attainment and maintenance of excellent customer satisfaction, compliance to all appropriate regulations and Springpoint policies, budget control, menu development, staff scheduling, hiring and training.


Education Must be a Certified Dietary Manager, or be a graduate of a 4 year program in food service management (or equivalent) with current Serve Safe Certificate.

Experience Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a food service operation. Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills, able to work in a diverse cultural setting. Basic competence with Microsoft Word.

Preferred Qualifications: Successful track record of working in a full service, Continuing Care Retirement Community, dining service department. Associates degree or greater in culinary arts or food service management, experience in commercial restaurant or hotel operations, and customer service training. Point of Sale knowledge.
