 The Lifestyle Director is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating programs of therapeutic, recreational and creative arts activities for Independent Living residents of Fellowship Village. The Lifestyle Director will develop, implement and evaluate short and long term internal and external recreational programs and events which contribute to residents’ satisfaction, well-being, and security. Programs include a variety of social, recreational, physical, and educational opportunities for resident involvement that encourages socialization and creativity, improves daily living skills, expands personal interests, and increases physical activity and education through our Bravo Wellness Program. The Lifestyle Director will be responsible for building relationships with our residents in order to effectively encourage their continued social and physical well-being.

Fellowship Senior Living is a Five-Star Life Plan Community (CCRC) offering Independent Living, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and other services. We are looking for a compassionate and caring individual to join our team and uphold our "Person-Directed Lifestyle" philosophy.

Responsibilities:

·        Plan and implement resident activities according residents ' interests and needs

·        Vet and schedule entertainment to perform on a regular basis

·        Conduct activity program evaluations, survey resident social and lifestyle preferences, and tailor lifestyle programming to meet resident preferences

·        Plans and executes all functions pertaining to day and overnight trips

·        Maintain the monthly activities calendar and publicize all internal and external events

·        Create and distribute internal monthly newsletter

·        Coordinate activities related to our Bravo Wellness Program

 

Skills/Requirements:

·        Three (3) years’ experience in the senior living industry with related skills in event planning, scheduling, and leading group activities

·        Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sociology or related field, preferred; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

·        Wellness Coach and/or Personal Training experience, a plus!

·        Experience with scheduling theatrical events, highly desirable

·        Proficiency in MS Office applications

·        Able to respond to and work with a mature resident population, creating a warm, caring, and supportive environment for the enjoyment of the residents and to promote this philosophy to all team members

·        Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to interacts well with residents, family and team members

·        Detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities and assignments

·        Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected

·        Required to work some evenings and weekends for special events

·        Current and valid driver’s license
